Muallaf are those whose hearts have been inclined to Islam. Each year more than 90% of new converts to Islam come to Darul Arqam

Funds are also channelled towards the printing of materials to propagate the teachings of Islam, which are distributed free.

FISABILILLAH
Fisabilillah means spending in the cause of Allah. Darul Arqam Singapore strives to promote Islam through da’wah:
- Training suitable candidates locally and abroad to better prepare and build on the pool of qualified da’i (missionaries)
- Providing religious classes at various levels and languages
- Organising talks and lectures by eminent Muslims and scholars from the world over
- Printing and publishing books & periodicals on Islam for mass distribution and circulation Producing audio-visual materials eg. videos, VCDs, etc.
AMIL
An amil is one who is appointed to collect zakat. Funds are also channelled towards the administration and operation of the Association. Persons of integrity are appointed by the Association to administer the disbursement of zakat.
FAKIR & MISKIN
A ‘fakir’ is one who has neither material possessions nor means of livelihood. A ‘miskin’ is one with insufficient means of livelihood to meet basic needs. Funds are disbursed to deserving poor and needy for daily household expenses, schooling needs and other geriatric requirements.
Darul Arqam
GHARIMIN, IBINISSABIL & RIQAB
This category refers to those who are in debt, the wayfarer and those in bondage. Funds are distributed to those who are in debt (money borrowed to meet basic, halal expenditure), who strive for the cause of Allah, and stranded in journey.
